Lewis, 40, steps back into the spotlight on the back end of what
has been a remarkable career. The New Orleans native boasts a 19-10
record across his 29 appearances inside the Octagon but has lost
three of his past five bouts. Lewis has not seen action since May
11, 2024, when he put away Rodrigo
Nascimento with third-round punches at UFC on ESPN 56. On the
other side of the ledger, the unbeaten Teixeira has stopped all
eight of his opponents inside one round. The 25-year-old Brazilian
last suited up at UFC 312, where he wiped out Justin Tafa
with a knee to the body and a follow-up elbow strike just 35
seconds into their Feb. 8 encounter.
